If you’ve been in an accident
If anyone is injured or in immediate danger, call 111 first.
Turn on your hazard lights and move to a safe place if you can do so safely.
Don’t stand in the traffic lane or beside moving vehicles.
Take photos of the vehicles, damage, and scene if it is safe to do so.
Exchange details with the other driver where appropriate and take photos of licences.
If your vehicle isn’t safe to drive, call us and we can recover it and take it where it needs to go.

If you’ve been involved in an accident, Ashley’s Tow Taxi can recover your vehicle and help you work out what happens next.
If anyone is injured or there is immediate danger, call 111 first. Once everyone is safe, call us on 0800 869 829.
We can recover the vehicle from the roadside and take it to your chosen repairer, panel beater, dealership, home or our secure North Canterbury vehicle storage yard while insurance or repair arrangements are sorted.
We take care of everything from recovery through to delivery.
What Happens next?
We’ll send one of our tow trucks to collect your vehicle and take it where it needs to go. If you already have a preferred repairer or panel beater, we can deliver it there.
If you don’t yet know where the vehicle needs to go, we can take it to our secure North Canterbury storage yard while your insurer, assessor or repairer works out the next step.
If you haven’t contacted your insurer yet, do that as soon as you can and keep a note of your claim number. Once the destination is confirmed, we can arrange the onward transport. Ashley’s Tow Taxi operates seven days a week across North Canterbury and Christchurch.

Yes. Ashley’s Tow Taxi provides accident towing and vehicle recovery across Christchurch, Kaiapoi, Rangiora and North Canterbury. We can recover damaged, non-running or unsafe vehicles and transport them safely to your chosen destination.

Yes. We regularly assist with insurance towing and vehicle recovery. We can tow your vehicle to a panel beater, assessment centre, repairer or secure storage yard. If you have an insurance claim number, let us know when you call.

Yes. If your vehicle has accident damage, flat tyres, damaged suspension, locked steering, is stuck in park, or cannot roll freely, we can usually still help. Tell us what has happened when you call so we can bring the right equipment and advise on the best recovery option.

We can tow your car or van to your preferred mechanic, panel beater, dealership, repair workshop, home address or our secure storage yard. We can also assist workshops, insurers and businesses with accident-damaged vehicle transport.

Yes. Ashley’s Tow Taxi offers secure vehicle storage for accident-damaged, insurance, workshop and recovered vehicles in our North Canterbury yard. This can be useful if your vehicle cannot be delivered straight to a repairer or needs to be held while insurance or repair arrangements are sorted.

Our normal operating hours are 7.00 am to 7.00 pm, seven days a week. For urgent accident towing outside those hours, you can still call 0800 TOW TAXI (0800 869 829). If we’re unable to attend, we’ll help you find someone who can.
